Blanket Coats
These workman coats are named for their material, an 18th Century wool blanket. Research by Michael Ramsey provided the Costume Design Center with the ability to introduce them into the wardrobes of multiple interpreters throughout the historical area. The simplicity of the coat makes the garment nearly zero waste, and appropriate for a myriad of trades. I was one of the tailors on a later round of production for these coats, but the initial introduction of them to was covered in the CW Blog, for which I was tasked with going into the historical area and taking these photos.
